The archaeological site of Mycenae has been declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Abstaining only 170km from Patra, consisting of the remaining ruins of the citadel of Mycenae as grandiose tombs built during the time of the kings. The most important of these tombs which are vaulted, is the tomb of Atreus and the tomb of Clytemnestra. From these graves derives the bulk of the surprising finding that in the greater degree are golden and are characterized for their wonderful art. Many of these findings are in the new, modern Museum of Mycenae. Apart from the vaulted tombs will be able to admire the ruins of the citadel as the Royal Palace, the Cathedral, the Underground Cistern and the Lion Gate.
